The Annual Fund consists of designated and undesignated gifts that support the operating
expenses of the Foundation. This includes scholarships and other items of institutional
support.
Planned Gifts can result in immediate or future income for the Foundation while the
donor—or others—retain income and/or assets to the assets used to fund the gift. Because
of current or future charitable benefits, a number of state and/or federal income
tax, capital gains, estate and gift benefits are associated with this type of giving.
A Major Gift is a gift to the Foundation for any purpose in an amount of $10,000 or
more.
A Bequest is a gift made for a future date. For instance, a donor may make a gift
to the Foundation with an insurance policy for which the proceeds are to be paid to
the Foundation at the death of the donor.
